Hi Meadow fam, it's so nice to be back.

If you missed my introduction a couple of weeks back, I am Sim, a personal stylist with a background in fashion that stems back 20 years.

I am joining the Meadow family and each month we will be releasing an article based around certain topics, featuring fashion tips, tricks around styling certain pieces and also covering what's on trend and upcoming too.

so be sure to follow along.

This months topic is the Linen Pant.

lets get into it shall we.

The Linen Pant.

As a personal stylist and content creator, I am constantly asked about versatile, comfortable options for the bottom half of the body.

This month, I bring to you the linen pant.

Linen pants are a summer staple due to their absorbent and breathable nature, making them perfect for warm weather climates.

However, 100% linen can be prone to creasing. To combat this, linen blends are an excellent choice. Despite blends sometimes being perceived as inferior, they often address the downsides of pure linen, such as creasing.

You might be wondering well based on that "How do I wear linen in winter?"

One of the things I love about the Zera pant at Meadow is its weight. It's heavier than other linen blend pants at similar price points, making it suitable for cooler months.

A few simple layering tips can really help in the cooler months if you are based in a cooler state (Hands up, Melbournians.. this winter is something else!)

  • Add a pair of knee high socks for warmth... sexy I know right, but no one is going to see them!
  • Tights underneath, you wouldn’t believe how many people do this. I would always opt for a lighter denier that helps with warmth but doesn’t add bulk- 80 denier is great.
  • One of my favourites- Layering with a long-line coat .

A versatile linen pant can take you from the park to dinner with a few simple tweaks and this is what makes them a winner!

I also adore the colours on offer—black and brown. This season, brown has become just as versatile, if not more, than black, and I am here for it!

Ok so back to the big one,

“ How do I wear linen pants in winter?”:

Jess and the team at Meadow have done an amazing job on showing you outfits created with the Zera pant but here are five ways to wear your linen pants and how to make them more seasonal as we transition into warmer weather:

For the Office : Pair with a white blouse or shirt and a blazer. Add some loafers or low heels to elevate your look.

Casual Day Out : Wear with a relaxed tee and a cosy knit. Complete the look with sneakers Layer a coat over the top for ultimate warmth. To elevate further team it back with a mesh ballet flat this season.

Night out : Style with a silky top on elevated basic. Add strappy heels and statement earrings for a evening fit.

Winter Warmth : Layer with knitwear and a long coat. Add knee-high boots and a scarf to stay warm, comfortable- yet elevated.

Weekend Vibes : Combine with a sweat top and sneakers for ultimate comfort.

"life isn't perfect but your outfit can be"

What I love about working with Meadow is the ability to mix and match old and new pieces.

I am all about cost per wear, regardless of the retail value and these pants tick all the boxes but if you already have a pair of linen pants, I hope this shows you more ways to make them work through the year.

So head over to Meadow and check out the Zera pant. Trust me, once you try them on, you'll wonder how you ever lived without them.

Happy styling!

Sim, xx
